It is a small book, that is good for a quick read on the bus. It is good to meditate on it and try out the PLAN. But I don't think it works.
Wisdom condensed

The following two maxims perhaps go someway to describing this book -
'The truth travels in a straight line'
'The shortest distance between two points is a straight line'
What the author has effectively done is to distil centuries of PMA wisdom into under 20 pages of a 10x15cm 'pamphlet'. As with all profound wisdom the more words you add the more you loose sight of the point, the more earth you pile the deeper the seed is buried - the more fuel you add to the fire, the further you are pushed away.
I'm sure this booklet will have more critics that fans, and that alone shouts volumes. That fact itself simply re-enforces the Truth captured herein, that WE, and only we are in control, if we want success and happiness then we can have it! Why don't you have it? because if the truth be told and you look into your heart, you DON'T WANT IT! - "But I DO!" you cry... look inside your heart and see what it is you REALLY want, not what you THINK you want, or you think you are SUPPOSED to want, plan and prepare and it will come to you in some form. PMA.
値段と見合わないほどの濃い内容

英語を原書のまま読みきるには
ちょっとやそっとでない英語力が必要です。
しかし、この本はわずか30頁ほどの小冊子なので
簡単に読めます。
それにもかかわらず、英語の文章のレベルはそれなりに高いので
大学受験レベルの英語力は必要になってくるかと
思われます。
また、エミール・クーエという人について知識がないと、
23頁のたとえがわかりませｎ。
短い記述で濃い内容をあらわそうとしたために、
この本一冊で全ての文脈が理解できるわけではないです。
例えば、多くの本、人生経験などに当たることが必要となってきます。
それにもかかわらず良い本です。
It Worksの文体 （2005-07-20）
この本に興味を持たれた方の参考になればと思い、「It works」
の文章について少し感想を書いておきたいと思います。
この本の文章は、修飾関係がやや複雑で、洋書を読み慣れてい
ない人にとっては、やや読みにくい文章であるように思います。
日本人にとっては、必ずしもお手本にしたくなるような文章では
ないかもしれません。
著者自身も述べているように、３５０ページまで引き延ばそうと
思えばできた内容を、ごく手短にエッセンスのみ述べているので、
飛躍が多く、読む際には行間を埋めるように読んでいく必要があ
ります。
ということで、内容はともかくとして、英語そのものとしては、
あまり初心者向きではないかもしれません。初心者の方は、やは
り、解説つきの訳本「イット・ワークス 夢をかなえる赤い本」
を併せて持っている方がよいでしょう。
普段英語の本を読まない人でも （2005-04-21）
夢がある人、ぜひ達成したい目標があるにとっては一読の価値のある本です。
普段英語の本を読まない人でも、読んでみるといいと思います。
私はネットでかつて、「ＰＡＬＭで目標、夢を達成する」というアイディアを知りました。
（ＰＡＬＭというのは簡単なパソコンの機能を搭載した携帯端末の一種です。）
それは、ＰＡＬＭのTO DOリストに希望とその達成日を書き込んで、それを度々眺めていると、目標、夢が達成されるという内容でした。
私はそれを実践し、目標を達成しました。
この本に書いてあることはＰＡＬＭを使った目標達成に似ていると思いました。
私には今、夢はありませんが、夢のある人にとっては利用価値の高い本だと思います。
